  • Austrian drag queen Conchita Wurst (played by Tom Neurwith) won the Eurovision Song Contest with 290 votes with the song “Rise Like a Phoenix.” Outrage from Russia and other eastern European governments was expressed, but the voters have spoken.   • If you’re not out at work, you’re not alone. A new poll by the HRC found that 53% of LGBT people were not out at work.

  • Children suffer the effects of bullying worldwide. 70% of Japanese LGBT youth have been bullied in school and 30% considered suicide according to a new study.
