Event grants for Banned Books Week from the Judith F. Krug Memorial Fund of the Freedom to Read Foundation are available until April 30. These are $1,000 and/or $2,500 to support “Read-Outs” or other activities to commemorate the week on September 21-27, 2014. During its five years, the Krug fund has supported 28 projects; photos are available on FTRF’s Facebook page and Flickr stream. Information about these events is at www.ftrf.org/?Krug_BBW.
Organizations are required to submit an event description, timeline, and budget with their applications and agree to provide a written report, photos and video from their event(s) to FTRF following Banned Books Week.
