Gay couple Paul Katami and Jeff Zarillo with lesbian couple Kris Perry and Sandy Stier won their fight against California’s Prop 8 after last summer’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Now they’re in a film documentary that received a standing ovation when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The Case against 8” by filmmakers Ben Cotner and Ryan White competed at the indie film festival last week in Park City (UT). It also features “The Odd Couple,” lawyers Ted Olson and David Boies, joined in opposition to Prop 8 but on opposing sides in the legal battle that sent George W. Bush to the White House the first time. Conservative Olson said, “[Marriage is] two people who love one another and want to live together in a stable relationship, to become part of a family and part of a neighborhood and part of our economy.”
