Victims of Canada’s ‘Gay Purge’ to Get Apology from Trudeau

Justin Trudeau will formally apologize to members of the military, public service, and police who were discriminated against, lost jobs, and imprisoned due to their sexual orientation.  This follows the start of a class-action lawsuit against the government that is attempting to address these wrongs.

Premier League stars back Rainbow Laces anti-homophobia campaign

Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign was created to support LGBT persons in sports, and now has the backing of England’s Premier League (soccer).  The League is one of many professional sports leagues that will support the campaign that runs through December 3rd.

Canada university under fire for gender pronoun debate

After having her students watch a debate about gender neutral pronouns which involved an extreme professor who consistently slams “PC culture”, a Canadian teaching assistant was accused of “creating a toxic environment” for her students and was required to have her lesson plans approved by another faculty member.  Wilfrid Laurier University is now accused of stifling free speech.

‘It’s just the start’: LGBT community in Turkey fears government crackdown

The government in Ankara, Turkey imposed a ban on all LBGT cultural events.  This seems to be a continuation of the religious nationalism and homophobia that drove Erdogan’s cancellation of the Istanbul Pride Parade.
