Over 800 couples marry in first month of legal same-sex unions
Since granting gender-neutral marriage equal legal status in March, Finland has welcomed approximately 800 couples into marriage. A high percentage, 770, were already civil partnerships, while 87 were entirely new unions.

In a heart-warming show of solidarity, more than 2,000 people joined hands and took part in a march through Amsterdam to oppose violence against LGBT+ people. This action was in support of a gay couple who were brutally attacked for holding hands.
